Launch of New Website for Rings

A new project for engagement rings, wedding rings, annivarsary rings has been launched. This launch is of the website http://www.engagement-wedding-ring.com. This site will cater to the end user to deliver to them the best value and unquestionable craftsmanship from designing to the making of their ring.

Quality, value, personalisation and exclusivity are the core aspects of this project and thus the end user should be confident regarding their purchase. All main center stones shall be accompanied with certificates from either GIA, HRD, IGI for diamonds and either Gubelin, SSEF, GIA, GRS, GIT for Colour Gemstones.

Russian and Chinese Market for Gemstones

Russia and China are 2 very rapidly growing markets for colour gemstones. Consumers are very interested in colour gemstones, particularly in China where they believe it could bring good health and good luck.

These 2 wealthy nations have high demand, but custom procedures are strict and complicated. Taxes and VAT are very high like 8% and 17% for China and 20% and 18% for Russia respectively. Major Cities in China with high trade volumes in gemstones are Panyu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing and for Russia are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Kostroma.

Ruby and Sapphire Guide Approved by CIBJO

CIBJO has approved a Ruby Guide and a Sapphire Guide to promote and educate the public about them. The guides were developed by TGJTA in Thailand. There have been many cases in which the end consumer and even the salesman in retail outlets aren't able to answer some basic questions and these guides will help them with the basics.

Thai Goverment Policy to Promote Colour Stone Trade

29th June will be recorded as a major initial step towards promoting Thailand as a major cutting center for colourstones of all kinds. Prime Minister Abhisit has declared to waive VAT on importing rough colour stones (HS 7103.10.00). Only items sold will be taxed at 1%, rest can be re-exported without any taxes or formalities.

Also an initiative to promote Thai cut and polished stones as "Ploy Thai" was brought up as a branding strategy for stones cut and polished in Thailand. This can include gemstones mined anywhere else but imported and cut and polished in Thailand.

We at Gandhi Enterprises are very pleased with such initiatives and policies as it will help our stones which are cut and polished in Thailand and also will help other individuals here in Thailand who work together to strengthen the image of "Ploy Thai".

Precision cut gemstones

Orders on precision cut are on the high relatively orders for normal cut goods. This includes brilliant cut and custom shapes. The fine art of gemstones cutting involves hi-tech machines with skilled labour to obtain the perfected goods that reflect the maximum light and gives the brilliant colour of the gemstones. We cut all precious and semi precious into precision cut goods, on orders only. These goods are used in watches and high-end jewellery and for bigger sizes, served as collectors items.
